PARTS OF THE CONDENSING UNIT:

Condenser Fan Motor:

One of the new Motors This particular motor is one of the newer vintage that is representative of most of the latest types and styles of condenser fan motors. Similar to any of those used by all the manufacturers of residential and commercial equipment. Notice that this particular motor is one of the "sealed-bearing" type in that it has no oil ports or oil port plugs. When you see your motor mounted, look for proper installation.
Someone may have moved it or repositioned it and the oil ports may be facing downward. This is wrong and the oil will gravitate away from the bearings or out of the motor. Make sure the plugs are in place. A dealer can supply new ones if they are not. This is important to prevent the loss of oil by drainage or drying-up.

If you need to realign your motor, simply loosen the motor mounting bracket bolt or bolts and rotate it to upright the oil ports. Be careful not to leave the wires to the motor taut or in the way of the blades or stretched against some sharp object. Use wireties or similar banding to secure them from dangling loosely.
